US Bank has enhanced its mobile banking app with several new features including availability on Android devices and Spanish language option.

The app now features ‘New Insights’, an upgrade of the previous Insights feature that debuted in April.

This feature provides key financial information to the customers including end of month cash flow analysis, duplicate transaction charge warning and categories all the expenses.

It also includes Zelle- a recurring payment functionality and a simplified money request process.

The app now features home equity loan products, savings and investing features. Furthermore, the process for non-US Bank customers to view and apply for new products has been streamlined.

US Bank has also added direct deposit form and expanded the scope of account transfers in the app. All US Bank credit card customers can now lock/ unlock their cards from the app. It also includes Add to Apple Wallet option.

Customers will also receive billing, escrow and tax statements directly in the app.

US Bank omnichannel senior vice-president Ankit Bhatt said: “In less than a year, we rebuilt the US Bank mobile app by co-creating with customers and our initial results have surpassed our expectations.

“But we haven’t stopped – within just a few months we rolled out Spanish language functionality, added dozens of new features and now brought the app to Android.”

Last month, the US Bank published its Q2 2019 results. It reported a 4% year-on-year rise in net income from $1.75bn to $1.82bn.
