HSBC Oman has paid out 20,000 Omani Riyals ($51,949) each to five of its savers.

The bank also gave out 1,000 ($2,600) OMR in prizes to 100 of its customers, as part of the monthly Mandoos Savings Scheme draw.

To take part in the scheme, Omani residents must open a Mandoos account, or existing HSBC customers must increase their monthly deposits to at least 100 OMR ($260).

Next September’s offer includes a competition for customers to win their annual salary up to the value of 30,000 MR ($1,1535).

An HSBC spokesperson said: "The Mandoos Saving Scheme has been rewarding savers for more than 25 years and is a key part of HSBC Bank Oman’s comprehensive range of products and services."
