April will see the unveiling of the 70th branch opened by the Bank of Melbourne since its launch in 2011.
The outlet will open in Gippsland, on Franklin Street, Traralgon.
The Bank of Melbourne call the expansion a ‘milestone.’
Plans to open five more branches by the end of 2013 have been announced. This sets the bank on track to achieving the 100 branch network goal, set to be complete in 2016.
Since it’s re-launch in 2011, more than 70,000 customers have opened new accounts and more than 800 Victorians are employed by the bank.
