TD Canada Trust, a part of Canada-based Toronto-Dominion Bank, has launched new ATM Green Machines that provide customers with quick access to cash and the ability to perform other banking tasks with ease.
The touch screen machines allow customers to keep a track of their deposits by scanning an image of the cheque deposited on their receipt. This allows customers to deposit multiple cheques or cash without using an envelope.
TD Canada Trust North American ATM head Jim Grimmer said they knew customers will appreciate the convenience and added assurance of having a photographic record of their deposit.
"Our new ATM receipts will make organizing bank deposits easier and give our customers peace of mind in knowing their cheques and cash have been received safely and securely," Grimmer added.
"Not only are envelope-free deposits better for the environment, they also speed up the time it takes to make a deposit at the ATM."
TD will initially deploy 25 the new envelope-free and image-enabled ATMs in nine locations across Canada and plans to update all other ATMs in Canada by the end of 2015.
