The Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) has extended its ATM branding agreement with Cardtronics to give its customers surcharge-free ATM access at over 640 Scotiabank-branded ATMs at 7-Eleven Canada stores across Canada.

The renewed agreement includes further 130 locations in British Columbia and Alberta that have been added to 7-Eleven Canada’s footprint in recent months.

Cardtronics said that the renewed contract extends a relationship established in 2010 across Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico, which expands the bank’s ATM footprint, improves market reach and deliver extended surcharge-free ATM cash access to its customers at over 950 ATMs.

Cardtronics also entered into a new, long-term ATM services agreement with the convenience store operator earlier this year.

Scotiabank vice president for physical distribution and in-branch technology James Popalis said: “At Scotiabank, we know that Canadians want the flexibility to bank anywhere, anytime and we are committed to delivering an excellent customer experience wherever our customers choose to bank with us.

“We are delighted to continue offering our customers the convenience of no-fee ATM access to their bank at 7-Eleven stores in Canada.”
