OTP Bank Russia has partnered with Tieto to use the IT firm’s card authorisation system.

The bank, part of a large banking group that operates across central and eastern Europe, also put in place a series of card fraud prevention measures.

Maris Ozolins, director of cards at Tieto Financial Services, said: "Lately OTP Bank has been very forward-looking and thoughtful with its expansion in Russia by not only offering new services to customers, but also thinking about the safety and availability of the systems."

Tieto, an IT services company that is active in over 20 European countries, says it will maintain constant availability of bank’s services and faster processing of customer requests.

Ozolins said: "Tieto actively supports the endeavours to provide customers with the highest quality and stability of services."
