National Bank of Oman (NBO) has selected FASTest solution, developed by Paragon Application Systems, to conduct pre-certification testing ahead of applying for access to the UAE switch.

In order to go for online certification with the UAE switch, banks should have a UAE switch simulator to run EMV issuer and acquirer certification.

The FASTtest will allow NBO to reduce the ePayment testing effort for EFT switches and point-of-sale (POS) devices and also to validate test transactions before going for online certification testing thereby saving time and cost.

By conducting the pre-certification testing using Paragon’s FASTest solution, the bank seeks to identify and fix errors prior to online certification testing.

NBO retail banking acting head Moosa Al Jadidi said FASTest will enable NBO to interface quickly with the UAE switch as it implements their new switch platform.

"Paragon Application Systems is one of the leading technology providers globally, and we believe that this partnership will significantly enhance our ability to gain accreditation from the UAE switch.
