National Bank of Oman has introduced a new segment, called Mazaya Banking, which offers customers with a dedicated banking experience and added benefits both locally and globally.

Headed by Hanna Al Hinai, the new Mazaya Banking segment will offer customers with benefits such as complimentary insurance package for the Mazaya world debit card that covers fraud protection, purchase protection, extended warranty, travel accidents and medical emergencies, and free platinum credit card in the first year.

Additionally, Mazaya customers will experience personalised relationship management and dedicated counters at selected branches across the country, and will have access to airport lounges at over 101 countries worldwide.

In order to avail the Mazaya benefits, customers will have to maintain a deposit of OMR15,000 ($38,971) or have a minimum monthly salary of OMR1,000 ($2,598).

The credit and debit card usage will also allow customers to earn reward points, which can be redeemed at over 900 airlines, 200,000 hotels and 150,000 car rental companies throughout the world.

National Bank of Oman retail and private banking acting head, Moosa Al Jadidi, said the newly launched segment is aimed at young professionals who have the luxury of a high disposable income and who can afford to start saving for the future.
