UK-based Metro Bank has launched a new internet banking platform, designed to offer an easy to use and intuitive service for its personal customers.

The new platform allows existing customers to open an online account, view card transactions to understand balance, rename accounts, order a new card or cancel one, request a PIN reminder and find transactions by date, category or keyword through a search facility, and get answers for their queries through a help section.

The lender has also launched a range of ‘how-to’ videos on its website that provides customers an easy interactive demonstration to enable them to understand how the new platform works.

Metro Bank CEO Craig Donaldson said they have listened extensively to the feedback from their customers on what they want from their bank online, and have designed this platform with them and their needs in mind.

"As a bank, we want to give all our customers unparalleled levels of service and convenience, whether that’s in store, online or by telephone – and we are confident that the new platform will make our customers’ online banking experience better than ever," Donaldson added.

Metro Bank further plans to launch a new platform for business customers in the next few months and release a mobile app for personal customers in the next few weeks.
