Serverside Group, the UK-based card
customisation outfit which has signed up banks including Wells
Fargo, Banco Sabadell and ANZ, has launched a financial card
designer for mobile phones following a trial on a Nokia handset
with Dutch group ING in Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport.
ING used the tool to support a financial card
design competition where people were encouraged to put their
holiday snaps onto debit cards and have the chance to win a
traveller’s cheque to the value of €1,000. The mobile phone ‘app’
enabled cardholders to visualise how a personally designed card
could look.
