Climate First Bank (In Organisation) has appointed Finastra as a software solution provider to deliver value-based banking services in the US.

Claimed to be the first green bank in the US, Climate First Bank (I/O) will be investing primariliy in climate-based programmes apart from traditional banking services.

As part of this partnership, Finastra will offer its complete suite of banking software, including Fusion Phoenix core banking, Fusion Digital, Total lending, and other payment and analytic solutions.

Climate Bank is slated to be launched as a full-service community bank in the spring this year.

Finastra said that its FusionFabric.cloud developer platform and Fusion Phoenix core banking system are developed entirely on Microsoft technology, with open API architecture.

Ahead of its launch, Climate First has already forged partnership with Allied Payment Network. This payment app services will be operational through Finastra’s FusionFabric.cloud store and Fusion Digital Banking.

Finastra SVP and GM of Americas field operations Chris Zingo added: “Climate First’s mission to fight the global climate crisis is crucially important and Finastra is honoured to work with the bank to further this important cause.”

Finastra’s digital banking solutions are used by various banks including United Arab Bank, Seattle Bank, Leumi UK, Tonic Finacials, Peoples Community Bank US, among others.
