Seattle Bank has opted for Finastra’s core banking platform Fusion Phoenix to improve operational efficiency.

The bank will use the core system with other Finastra solutions such as Fusion Card Payments, Fusion Analytics, Fusion Item Processing Services, Fusion Digital Banking, Fusion Mortgagebot, as well as Fusion LaserPro.

The bank will implement Fusion Phoenix along with FusionFabric.cloud, which is built on Microsoft Azure.

Microsoft general manager Jamie Tozzi said: “By using solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure, Seattle Bank will realise faster access to innovation and speed to market.

“The bank will consume rather than own and run core applications, freeing up IT resources to focus on competitiveness and growth, confident that the industry’s highest security, performance and operating excellence standards are being met.”

According to the vendor, the deployment of FusionFabric.cloud will enable enhanced usability, reduced service expense, and open database architecture.

Seattle Bank president and CEO John Blizzard said: “Changes in technology and consumer behavior are creating immense opportunities to redefine the banking experience for our clients. However, banks that are dependent on legacy core technology are at a disadvantage because those solutions do not allow fast, economical innovation.

“Our partnership with Finastra is the avenue to overcome this challenge and take back control of how we use technology to support the unique banking experience that our team works hard to deliver every day.”
