Bank of America (BofA), the second largest bank in the US by assets, has announced new video ATM machines.

The video ATMs provide a live feed to a BofA employee and can deal with requests in English or Spanish.

The video ATMs will provide all the features of a regular ATM.

Teller assist transactions will be available between 7 AM – 10 PM on weekdays and between 8 AM and 5 PM on weekends.

Initially only available at the Bank of America centre in Boston, the video ATMs will be rolled out across the US in 2013.

Bank centre tellers will still be available to those who wish to conduct their transactions in person.
