BNZ has pioneered an online banking community and social hub in New Zealand, dubbed BNZ Community which will guide New Zealanders on banking and money-related matters.

The new community will be integrated across the bank’s website and its existing social media platforms.

Through this Community, users will be able to ask questions, provide answers, share money and banking knowledge, as well as earn rewards for being an expert.

The Community comprises two main components which include a forum for users to post queries, start conversation and search for answers to their questions, along with the separate ‘Good with Money’ blog which will enhance money and banking knowledge.

Craig Herbison, BNZ’s director for retail and marketing, said: "We know that our customers are increasingly seeking advice online, and that they treat advice from peers and online experts with high regard. We’ve launched BNZ Community to foster these really important conversations, and encourage a culture of peer-to-peer support in banking."

Herbison added that the new community will help the bank cater to their customers’ needs as while enabling customers to actively contribute to the products and services developed by the bank.
