Ukraine’s Unison Bank has launched a new remote PIN delivery service via SMS with the support of TranzWare products from Compass Plus.

The technology has been designed to help issuers deliver a PIN code directly to the cardholder’s mobile phone via SMS.

Compass Plus said in a statement that the technology will help the Ukrainian lender cut down operating costs by offering a more modern service to customers.

The service will allow customers to request and receive their PIN code anytime, anywhere, thereby phasing out the requirement to visit a bank branch.

In addition, the bank is also undergoing certification in MasterCard for issuing EMV and contactless MasterCard PayPass cards, that will be issued leveraging TranzWare Card Factory.

Compass Plus said that the lender plans to integrate its in-house web portal with TranzWare products, deploy e-commerce acquiring as well as support 3D Secure for issuers.
