Tri Counties Bank, a subsidiary of TriCo Bancshares, has completed the acquisition of three Bank of America branches on the North Coast of California.

The acquired branches are located in the cities of Arcata, Eureka, and Fortuna in Humboldt County.

Upon the acquisition, the bank assumed $161m in deposits and $323,000 in loans.

Tri Counties Bank caters to individuals, families, businesses and communities in the Northern and Central California market, which includes seven branches along the North Coast of California extending from Crescent City to Ferndale. The bank manages over $4.2bn in assets.

TriCo Bancshares president and CEO Rick Smith said: "We welcome our new customers and employees to our expanded North Coast branch network."
