South African Standard Bank has partnered with Microsoft and SAP to fast-track its journey to a digital enterprise.

The South African bank will transition its core SAP Cloud Platform services to Microsoft Azure to roll out new solutions to market.

The partnership follows the Project Embrace initiative between Microsoft and SAP announced last year.

Project Embrace is centred around the customer journey to SAP S/4HANA and SAP Cloud Platform on Microsoft Azure.

Standard Bank will leverage Microsoft’s computing know-how and SAP’s product innovation capability to create customised solutions for its clients.

This will enable the bank to deliver products and services faster, while also enhancing its IT infrastructure.
