US headquartered Silicon Valley Bank, a lender focused on the tech and innovation sectors, is to establish a lending branch in Canada.
Once regulatory approval is granted, Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) will be able to provide in-market banking solutions to private and public tech companies and their investors across Canada.

SVB has hired Barbara Dirks from Royal Bank of Canada, where she was Senior Vice President of Network and Advisor Strategy in personal and commercial banking, to lead its Canada expansion and team, effective immediately.
