Revolut has been granted a stored value facilities (SVF) licence, and a retail payment services (category ii) licence by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE).
The decision follows the in-principle approval the company received from the CBUAE in September 2025, completing the regulatory licensing procedure for its UAE operations.

The licences also advance Revolut’s move into the Middle East.
After obtaining preliminary approval last year, the company expanded its presence in the country, added to its local workforce, and put resources into infrastructure, capabilities and governance arrangements intended to support its operations in the UAE.
With the licensing process concluded, Revolut is now preparing its local product range for a wider launch.

“Revolut’s licensing approval by the Central Bank of the UAE adds to the depth of that ecosystem and reflects the growing international presence that contributes to the knowledge-based economy the UAE continues to build.”
When the service goes live, users in the UAE are expected to be able to use Revolut’s platform to hold and manage several currencies, make payments with physical and virtual cards, and transfer money domestically and abroad through one app.
