RBS has partnered with NatWest to launch a £1bn small business fund focusing on small businesses across Yorkshire and the North East.

The fund has been designed to particularly help businesses with fixed rate loans from £1,000 to £250k without any arrangement fee.

The fund, which will be split between 11 different areas across the UK, will target both new and existing customers who are seeking to grow their business.

Meantime, the bank also said that it will boost its wealth management service in the UK for its HNW customers.

The fund launch follows the launch of a network of eight new business accelerator hubs by RBS to support f entrepreneurs and high growth businesses.

Les Matheson, CEO of personal and business banking for RBS, said: "Small businesses are the engine room of the UK economy, and it is essential that we do everything we can to support them. The launch of this additional £1bn Small Business Fund is another way that we are backing the businesses of tomorrow as they grow."
