Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) is re-negotiating
its decade-long sponsorship of Scottish tennis player Andy
Murray.

A source close to the bank said that RBS was
in discussions about the next phase of the sponsorship.

The contract between Murray, ranked
4th in the world, and RBS ended at the end of last year
and Murray wore a t-shirt without the bank’s sponsorship patches
during his matches in Australia earlier this week.

He has been sponsored by RBS since the age of
13.

The source said that the discussions would
come to an end “very soon”, but was unable to give an exact
date.

RBS refused to comment.
