Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) has selected OMA Emirates to implement a new card issuance system, Al-Jamal, to improve efficiency and to control its card issuance process.
The implementation will include a modern EMV chip card issuance system along with a range of hardware supported with the OMA Emirates’ suite of software solutions to ensure a seamless start for QIIB’s in-house issuance activity.
The system comprises OMA Emirates Nano-Perso, a personalisation solution that supports batch printing and encoding to boost the bank's efficiency.
Additionally, OMA Emirates will also deploy a special data recovery process, which will act as the back-up for the production systems.
The new solution, which has been selected to fulfil the ever changing customer needs, will also enable the Qatari lender to manage its centralized card process in-house.
QIIB deputy CEO Jamal Abdallah Al-Jamal said: "QIIB vision is to go beyond our valued customers expectations, and we have taken strategic steps towards best innovative solutions that would result achieving this vision, and cooperating with OMA is one of these decisions due to their wide local and international experience for the card personalisation"
