Poland-based Getin Noble Bank is to roll out its first portfolio
of contactless cards using MasterCard’s PayPass technology and
First Data’s card issuing and payment processing services.

Getin Noble’s contactless card holders will be able to pay for
purchases of up to PLN50 ($17.50) at retailers across the country,
a spokesperson for the bank said.

The director of the card department at Getin Noble said that the
bank had worked with First Data on other projects.

Last December, RBI reported that PKO Polski Bank Polski, Poland’s biggest bank
by assets, partnered with Gemalto to roll out its contactless card
portfolio using Visa’s payWave technology.
