Pakistan’s First Women Bank, the bank founded for women’s economic empowerment in the region, has migrated its ATM acquiring and card management in-house from its previously outsourced setup.
Formally the bank had been connected to MNET shared switch network, alongside having its card production and ATM acquiring outsourced.

Post-migration, the bank is now connected to the 1Link POS network, with its card production and ATM acquiring driven from in-house.
First Women Bank worked with technology firm TPS, who provided technical and business consulting, to enable the migration.
According to the bank, the move to hosting these operations in-house has improved control over operations and quality of service, lowering the risk of sharing confidential information to an external entity.
With the migration completed, the bank now aims to provide e-banking services to its customers, including person to person fund transfer (both intra-bank and inter-bank), utility bills payment and access to 1Link POS network.
