The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has approved the acquisition of large stakes in Industrialbank, ALPARI BANK, EXPRESS-BANK, ALFA-BANK, BTA BANK and CENTER.

The regulator has given its nod to the Dvoretskys to purchase 70% of the authorised capital of Industrialbank and over 80% of the authorised capital of EXPRESS-BANK.

Additionally, the regulator has given the go-ahead to Mykhailo Fridman, German Khann, Piotr Aven and Oleksii Kuzmichov to acquire a qualifying holding in ALFA-BANK. The individuals are the owners of Holdings that indirectly owns shares of ALFA-BANK through ABH Ukraine.

Kazakhstan nationals Nurzhan Subkhanberdin and Kenes Rakishev have each received the nod to acquire over 47% of the total shareholding in BTA BANK.

The NBU has also approved the acquisition of 100% holding in ALPARI BANK to Bakhtari Hedayat-Allah Musa, while French national Hamed Alikhani has got approval to buy a direct qualifying holding in CENTER.
