Amsterdam-based ING Bank has boosted its network of ATMs in Euro (€) to most of its self banks and offices through Romania.

A recent announcement from ING was cited by romania-insider.com that the Dutch financial services organization has installed Euro (€) ATMs in 166 offices across the country.

This follows successful pilot project of Euro (€) ATMs in a limited number of offices started in 2012, according to the publication.

The new ATMs have been designed to enable users to carry out both withdrawals and deposits in EUR. They can also be used for cash exchange.

Withdrawal of EUR is available even for those who own ING accounts in RON, as the exchange is executed automatically at the bank’s rate.

The bank collects a 0.5% fee for withdrawing EUR at the ATM, irrespective of the type of card used when making this withdrawal.
