IndusInd Bank, an Indian private sector lender, has selected visual communication technology provider Vidyo to launch a new mobile and desktop-based banking service called ‘Video Branch’ across the country.
Easy and convenient to use, Video Branch has been designed to cater to all banking services currently offered through IndusInd phone banking. It will enable customers to have a face-to-face video conversation with a branch manager, relationship manager or a centralized video branch executive.
Customers can also conduct financial transactions such as opening a fixed deposit or recurring deposit, and transferring funds through NEFT RTGS, among others.
At present, Video Branch is available for Android (2.3 and higher) and Apple mobile devices (iOS 6,7, and higher) in the respective App Stores.
IndusInd Bank managing director and CEO Romesh Sobti said: "Our Video Branch ‘face-to-face’ online banking customer service, powered by Vidyo, is the next frontier of banking and brings our branch managers and centralized banking services closer to our customers with highly personal interaction.
"VidyoWorksTM is the only solution that could deliver on the promise of high quality connectivity from any location, on any device over any network and we are pleased to offer this very high-quality, easy to use service to our customers."
IndusInd Bank manages a network of 638 branches, and 1238 ATMs spread across 439 geographical locations.
