Additionally, the bank introduced an in-person programme called Your Money Counts.

The lender collaborated with non-profit organisation GreenPath Financial Wellness on the move.

The programme, available in English, Spanish and Chinese, will enable the bank’s US staff to hold financial education workshops for individuals and families.

They can do so through the non-profit partners and other community groups of the bank.

Employees of any background or position will be allowed to conduct these workshops.

HSBC USA head of corporate and strategic partnerships Michael Rogan said: “Everyone has unique circumstances and challenges when it comes to managing personal finances.

“Our goal is to provide people with the tools they need to make informed choices.

“Empowering people and transforming communities through financial literacy is the foundation of what we do.
