ARB Apex Bank, which operates as a mini central bank for the rural and community banks in Ghana, has extended its partnership with Temenos.

Under the extension, ARB Apex Bank will continue to utilise Temenos solutions to drive financial inclusion in the country. The ‘mini central bank’ connects 144 rural and community banks (RCBs) with a combined total of more than 700 branches.

It became a Temenos client in October 2009.

The bank uses digital banking product Temenos Infinity and core banking system Temenos T24 Transact. It also utilises a host of additional solutions such as Risk and Compliance and Temenos Payment Hub.

With Temenos software, ARB Apex Bank serves more than six million customers in Ghana. Overall, it sees processing of an average of 220,000 transactions every day.

ARB Apex Bank was established in 2000 and it received the banking license in the following year. Currently, it has 11 branch offices across Ghana and hosts more than 130 RCBs on a private cloud.
