Singapore’s DBS has unveiled a new mobile banking app, dubbed as DBS digibank, to simplify banking for its customers.

The new app will help customers view their account balances by swiping on their mobile devices or Apple Watch through the Peek Balance function. This function can be accessed without any pre-login.

DBS digibank offers fingerprint login, instant account opening, supports faster payments, and allows customers to make personalised profiles. Moreover, it has an enhanced layout and more intuitive navigation.

The app can be downloaded from Apple App Store and Google Play.

DBS Bank deputy group head of consumer banking and wealth management Pearlyn Phau said: "With increasingly tech-savvy customers and rising smartphone usage, we have designed our digital banking services to be innovative and nimble enough to address customer needs, and be able to provide an intuitive and relevant banking experience. It is about leveraging world-class technology to create a first-class customer experience."
