US based Citizens Financial Group, as part of its Bank Better initiative, announced new mobile check deposit and balance-viewing features that enhance its mobile banking capabilities.

Designed to deliver increased customer convenience, CFG’s mobile cheque deposits capture cheque images using a mobile device’s video camera and the customer is directed by the Citizens Bank and Charter One Mobile Banking App to make needed corrections.

Another enhancement, the new Fast Balance feature is simple and easy for on-the-go customers to view account balances without logging into their mobile banking app for iPhone and Android.

Citizens Financial Group consumer banking vice chairman Brad Conner said the new launches will meet the customers’ demand of more convenient mobile banking enhancements.

"Whether a customer is using one of our branches, state-of-the-art ATMs, Online and Mobile Banking or 24/7 Customer Contact Center, we are committed to putting customers in control and delivering a great customer experience," Conner added.

These new features join recent Bank Better enhancements, including One Deposit Checking, $5 Overdraft Pass, and state-of-the-art ATMs.

Citizens Bank and Charter One customers interested in its mobile banking app can download the application from the App Store and Google Play.
