US-based community lender CB&S Bank has deployed 250 Epson OmniLink TM-T70II-DT printers and TM-S2000 multifunction teller devices.

The solutions, which utilise Atris software, will enable the bank to reduce transaction processing time.

Additionally, the CB&S Bank tellers will reduce the time taken in the capture and validation process for the teller at the point of customer interaction.

CB&S Bank executive vice-president and chief information officer Justin Hof said: “We have seen an increase in transactions being performed at the branch level without adding additional staff, and are now automating most steps within the transaction process.

“In addition, we did not have to invest in new computers for our tellers. This allowed our thin client investment to continue.

“The solutions provided by Atris and Epson provide us with a significant competitive advantage in our markets.”

The new CB&S Bank tellers devices

Epson’s TM-S2000 multifunction teller device is designed as a comprehensive solution to fulfil a bank’s teller capture, back counter and RDC application requirements.

Also, it is capable of carrying out fast check scanning, cashier check and endorsement printing and two-sided ID scanning.

The OmniLink TM-T70II-DT, a thermal printer, comes with configuration flexibility and computing power.

Furthermore, the deployment of these new devices forms part of the bank’s branch transformation programme to streamline operations.

Epson financial services product manager Rahn Rampton said: “Working together with Atris, allowed us to empower CB&S Bank with the best solutions to make it as fast and easy as possible to collect vital customer information, in one step, giving branch personnel more face-to-face time fostering stronger customer relationships.”
