BBVA Compass, a US-based bank, has rolled out an updated version 5.4 of its mobile banking app, featuring new search functionality and direct deposit form.

Using the new search option, the bank’s customer can type anything they want to search, and the app automatically displays a list of applicable functionality from which the user can select.

Once the user click on one of the results in the list, the app navigates the client to the exact spot in the app where that functionality is or information is located.

BBVA Compass head of online and mobile banking Alex Carriles said: “With so many great features, it’s imperative that customers have an easy way to find and go to each of them. We’ve accomplished that with our new functionality search – a search we think is unlike any other on the market.”

The new version of mobile banking app also features refreshed app icon and direct deposit form. The form pre-fills customer’s banking information, including routing and account numbers, making it hassle-free for customers to auto-deposit pay-cheques.

Additionally, the customer can also send, print, or save the document as a PDF, thereby making the process of setting up direct deposits faster and easier.
