Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) has come up with its new mortgage loan product for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) through its Indian branches.

The minimum and maximum loan amounts will be between INR1m and INR30m, based on the city and the customer’s salary, reports Gulf Daily News.

The company is also offering the loans for resident Indians on similar terms.

Bahrain-based locally incorporated retail and commercial bank BBK has presence in Kuwait, the UAE and India.

With a presence of more than 27 years in India, the bank’s total business in the country amounts to INR16.7bn with loans and advances of INR8.6bn.

The bank aims to support Indian nationals to own property in India, and through its Indian division, provides mortgage loans to the salaried class working outside India.
