Barclays has unveiled a new rewards programme called Barclays Blue Rewards, offering customers up to £180 a year in cashback.
The programme, to be launched on 20 April 2015, will offer fixed cash rewards of £7 monthly to customers, regardless of how big their credit balance or monthly income is, in lieu of a fee of £3 per month.

The scheme will allow customers to earn up to £15 cash rewards each month and receive cashback through SmartSpend partners such as Expedia and Boots.
Barclays will expand the initial offering for other Barclays’ products like savings and personal loans.
Barclays Blue Rewards cash will be awarded into a separate digital Rewards Wallet, accessed through Barclays Online Banking or the Barclays Mobile Banking app.
Barclays Blue Rewards will be available to current account holders who deposit at least £800 credit each month, have two direct debits set up and are registered to Online Banking or the Barclays Mobile Banking app.
