"Our new cardless cash withdrawals represent the quality of service we guarantee. We are not providing a service; we are creating a lifestyle."

In order to withdraw cash from BankDhofar’s network of ATMs, customers need to download the bank’s mobile banking app.

Once the mobile banking app is downloaded, customers should login, choose the ‘Cardless Cash’ option, then choose ‘Self’, select the account to be debited, create a four-digit PIN and finally select the amount and submit the transaction.

Afterwards, the customer will receive a confirmation and enters the transaction password. They then receive a text with a six-digit reference code.

BankDhofar’s last innovation follows the offer of mobile banking services for Research in Motion’s (RIM) Blackberry 10 edition.

This can be seen as a part of the bank strategy to expand its mobile banking customer base.

Marwan Mohammed el Zadjali, head of ebanking at BankDhofar commented: "We promised our customers new services in mobile banking and we are delivering on that promise."

The bank has also launched app for Android devices and iPhones in 2013.
