Bank of America (BofA) is gearing up to install video terminals in approximately 500 bank offices by 2016, in a bid to enable its customers to talk with small business bankers, mortgage specialists and financial advisors.
The bank will launch Cisco telepresence equipment CTS500 and EX90 video and collaboration products, following a two-year successful trial encompassing 85 branches, which recorded 10,000 conversations.

The Cisco TelePresence System (CTS) 500 features a 32-inch monitor with camera, microphone and speakers, while the EX90 is a little smaller at 24-inches.
Bank of America ATM channel and retail distribution executive Rob Auleback said, "Convenient access to help when, where and how a customer needs it is the cornerstone of how we serve our customers."

BofA has been investing to upgrade its branches with new technology to effectively manage its daily banking operations, offer improved banking operations to customers, and attract tech-savvy customers.
