Bank of America (BofA) is axing a further 116 employees in Addison and Plano, Texas.

The lender is laying off 45 employees in Plano at its home loans corporate office on Legacy Drive and a mortgage banking arm on Corporate Drive.

At the same time, the bank is slashing another 71 jobs in Addison at 16001 N. Dallas Parkway.

A total of 177 employees have already been laid off at the two offices during the last three months.

According to a letter filed with the Texas Workforce Commission under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, eligible employees may get career transition resources, severance pay and benefits.

BofA has started notifying employees of the job cuts on 12 February, with the affected employees given a two-month notice period. The cuts will be effective from 13 April.
