Bank of America has updated its online and mobile banking by adding the fingerprint and Touch ID sign-in feature, an Apple Watch mobile banking app, streamlined Accounts Overview page and new Security Center.

The fingerprint and Touch ID sign-in will allow eligible Android, iPhone and iPad customers to log into the mobile banking app using their fingerprint, and access to the app’s common functionality without a passcode.

The mobile app is currently also compatible with Apple Watch, enabling users to view account balances and recent transactions for their linked checking, savings, credit card as well as investment accounts.

In addition, users will also get real-time alerts and notifications on their wrist.

Moreover, the bank has redesigned its mobile banking app home page and online banking Accounts Overview page to offer a personalised and seamless experience to users.

It will now feature new quick link tiles, which will enable faster access to popular features such as mobile check deposit, appointment scheduling and new account opening, as well as comprise the new What’s New section.

In case of online banking customers, the redesigned home page will allow easy review of account information, alongside a personalised greeting and the new Quick View feature showing the last five transactions and a link to the most recent statement.

A new Activity Center will offer easy access to various features such as viewing and paying eBills, transfering money between accounts and reviewing special offers and deals without leaving the page.

The new Security Center will help mobile and online banking customers securely manage their finances with more tools, including additional options for signing into and monitoring activity on their accounts.

The bank has also updated its Bank by Appointment feature to enable mobile and online banking customers schedule same-day financial center appointments with specialists for everyday banking, investment, retirement, home loan and small business needs.

At the same time, the existing Speak with a Specialist feature has been upgraded to offer customers options of topics such as bill pay inquiries, fee-related questions and report suspicious activity.
