Banco Popular North America has introduced a new online banking platform, dubbed Popular Direct, which will offer competitively priced certificates of deposits and a savings account.
The new platform will allow customers to manage their deposit accounts including accessing deposit images, and their account statements from their desktop or mobile.

A Popular Direct online account will provide customers a savings account with a minimum of $5,000, competitive rates on certificates of deposit with a minimum opening balance of $10,000, and a customer service centre.
Over the coming 18 months, the bank also plans to offer online checking and other consumer products through the platform.
