Banco Davivienda, Colombia’s third-largest
bank by assets, has agreed a seven-year ATM outsourcing agreement
with US-based self-service vendor Diebold.

The deal includes installation of
approximately 1,260 ATMs, remote management and maintenance
services for Davivienda’s entire ATM fleet.

In a statement, Diebold said that
approximately 1,260 Opteva ATMs have been deployed under the
agreement to date out of the bank’s network of nearly 1,400
ATMs.

Davivienda has also contracted Diebold to
provide security solutions for its ATM network.

Orlando Durán, vice president, operations,
Davivienda, said: “We chose Diebold because of its leasing model as
it gave us the opportunity to act very quickly and start the
project immediately.”
