National Australia Bank (NAB), one of the four major banking groups in the country, was hit by an IT outage today but resumed the services after nearly five hours.
The outage was reported from all major locations across Australia.
In the meantime, NAB customers took on social media to complain that they are unable to access internet banking and mobile app services.
In response NAB tweeted: “We seem to be having some issues with our Mobile App and Internet Banking. The team’s looking into it now and we’ll post an update shortly.”
The bank’s ATMs, EFTPOS facilities and branch services continued to function as usual. It also advised its customers to use telephone banking to avail regular services and pay bills via BPAY.
NAB added that it has started investigating into the cause of the outage immediately.
