Ahli Bank’s Al Hilal Islamic Banking Services has unveiled its first Sharia-compliant Visa credit card.

The credit card is available in two options: Visa Signature and Visa Platinum.

The bank contributes a fixed percentage to charity each time the card is used, which is first of its kind in Oman.

The credit limit of the card is between OMR500 ($1,298.5) and OMR5,000 ($12,985.3), while the cards are EMV Chip and PIN compliant for additional security protection. The card does not charge an annual fee.

The credit card offers benefits such as unlimited access to more than 500 airport lounges around the world, 24-hour concierge service, up to 25% discount at fine dining restaurants, multi-trip insurance up to $500,000, one-year extended warranty and free medical referrals.
