Nigeria-based lender Access Bank has selected NCR SelfServ ATMs to enhance speed of service and reduce ATM downtime.
The bank will now incorporate the new SelfServ 34 Cash Deposit ATM from NCR, which will support various transaction services including cash deposit, and bill payment.
It will also deploy NCR’s SelfServ 34 Dual Dispenser ATMs that can manage high transaction volumes.
The NCR SelfServ ATMs with self-healing technology will be installed in existing branches of the bank and in remote locations across Nigeria, with installations expected to be completed in the second half of 2016.
As part of the deal, the technology provider will also install SelfServ 25 and SelfServ 26 ATMs at various stations across Nigeria.
The machines will incorporate NCR’s ATM Skimming Protection Solution, which prevents fraudsters from isolating and recording data from the magnetic stripe on the card.
Access Bank executive director of operations and IT Ojini Olaghare said: "NCR has been a market leader and the addition of NCR suite of innovative ATM’s and security solution reiterates our commitment to be the first to drive new innovations in the Nigerian Banking sector and provide world class customer experience."
