Accenture has purchased BCS Consulting, a financial change management consultancy, to strengthen its financial services strategy and consulting practice in the UK.

Founded in 2001, the acquired firm delivers complex business change for clients within the banking, capital markets, insurance and asset & wealth management sectors.

BCS Consulting drives key change programmes for financial companies in areas such as technology, finance, operations, and risk and regulation.

It specialises in areas such as open banking, operational resilience, financial crime, and cost optimisation, complements, and payments.

The deal follows Accenture’s acquisitions of Mudano, Orbium and Parker Fitzgerald in the financial services space.

Financial and other terms of the acquisition have not been made public by the companies.

BCS Consulting, which is headquartered in London, employs 250 people, who will now join Accenture’s Financial Services Strategy and Consulting practice in the UK.

BCS Consulting is Accenture’s sixth acquisition in the UK this year. It previously acquired Edenhouse and Infinity Works in February, Cirrus and REPL in March and Xoomworks in October.
