The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 40.78% in September 2021 when compared with August 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 22.98% share in the company’s total hiring activity in September 2021, and recorded a 3.11% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops KBC Group IT hiring in September 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by KBC Group, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.73% in September 2021, and a 46.17% drop over August 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 15.25% in September 2021, and registered a decline of 51.43%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.78% in September 2021, a 52.5% drop from August 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at KBC Group

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in September 2021 with a 53.81% share, which marked a 54.72% drop over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 38.12%, registering a 48.33% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with an 8.07% share and a 26.53% drop over August 2021.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 34.53% share in September 2021, a 51.72% decline over August 2021. Belgium featured next with a 29.37% share, down 33.16% over the previous month. Bulgaria recorded a 17.94% share, a decline of 46.67% compared with August 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead KBC Group IT hiring activity in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 74.66%, down by 52.09% from August 2021. Entry Level positions with an 18.83% share, a decline of 51.72% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.5% share, down 25.64% over August 2021.
