The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 16.66% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 9.81% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 0.88% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Banco Santander IT hiring in November 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Banco Santander, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 37.16% in November 2021, and a 38.55% drop over October 2021, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 26.35% in November 2021, and registered a decline of 33.33%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 22.3% in November 2021, a 10.81% drop from October 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at Banco Santander

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global banking and payments IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 73.31% share, which marked a 20.07% drop over the previous month.

South & Central America stood next with 21.28%, registering a 42.73% month-on-month decline. North America was the third leading region with a 4.22% share and a 67.53% drop over October 2021.

In the fourth place was Asia-Pacific with a share of 1.18% and a month-on-month decline of 80%.

Poland commanded a leading presence in the region’s banking and payments industry IT hiring activity with a 56.93% share in November 2021, a 0.3% decline over October 2021. Brazil featured next with a 21.28% share, down 42.2% over the previous month. Spain recorded a 7.09% share, a decline of 51.72% compared with October 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Banco Santander IT hiring activity in November 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.77%, down by 33.96% from October 2021. Entry Level positions with a 10.98% share, a growth of 4.84% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 5.91% share, down 50% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.34%, recording a month-on-month increase of 100%.
