TD Canada Trust, a business unit of Toronto-Dominion Bank, has unveiled a new Android tablet app that allows its customers to easily handle personal banking and direct investing needs.

Features of the app include a single sign on to bank account for managing personal investment accounts and trade; pay bills; transfer money between accounts; quick view of accounts, balances, holdings and wealth products.

Additionally, the app provides a monthly calendar to view all payments, monitor investments by checking account balances and trading stocks, and locate TD Canada Trust branches and ATMs.

According to Ipsos Reid Data’s Mobil-ology research report, the use of a tablet device by adult online Canadians over 18 years increased to 21% in January 2013, up from 11% in 2012.

TD digital channels senior vice president Rizwan Khalfan said the Android tablet app offers their customers seamless access between their personal banking and wealth accounts – all with a single login, in a safe and secure environment.

"We have a number of digital banking initiatives we’ll be rolling out later this year and into 2014, making it easier for customers to do their banking, whether it’s in our branch, at the ATM, or digitally," Khalfan added.
