Australia’s Qantas Credit Union has selected Infosys Finacle, part of EdgeVerve Systems, to replace its legacy core platform with an end-to-end banking solution.

Under its collaboration with Infosys Finacle, the credit union will develop a new mobile banking and tablet app, peer-to-peer payments and digital wallet products.

The partnership will also enable the credit union to upgrade online banking platform with more tools, features and banking functionality, as well as improve back office efficiencies to reduce application time for credit cards, home loans and personal loans.

EdgeVerve will offer Finacle as-a-service to the credit union through its cloud-hosted business platforms.

Moreover, Quantas will also utilise other products from Edge such as BrandEdge, InteractEdge and AssistEdge to offer digital marketing, customer experience management, and intelligent customer service and issues resolution.

Qantas Credit Union CEO Scott King said: "Our partnership with Infosys Finacle is an exciting one for us. Firstly, it will deliver both short-term benefits and staggered releases, transforming our core system, online, mobile and tablet banking over the next three years.
