GMC Software Technology (GMC) in Switzerland has introduced a new customer acquisition application, Interactive Paperless Onboarding, for the banking industry at the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2013 held in Barcelona.

The company also showcased its Inspire Dynamic Statement in the symposium, for the first time in Europe.

Banks can use these tools to improve their customer experience (CEX) strategies, claims the company.

The Interactive Paperless Onboarding app allows bank employees to quickly go through the on-boarding process for opening a new account, loan or credit card.

Designed to be compatible with all mobile and tablet devices, the app allows taking pictures of customer ID and instantly delivering the necessary signed forms.

GMC product marketing vice president Didier Rouillard said this application has the potential to transform the way banking agents operate and communicate with customers.

"Not only does this save them money on the amount of paperwork and associated administration, but it empowers staff to go into the field and ‘meet’ prospective and existing customers at times and locations that suit them to drive a sale. It’s set to improve the whole customer experience," Rouillard added.

The password-protected Inspire Dynamic Statement provides customers with detailed interactive charts and graphs on their financial data. It also allows banks to move from paper to digital, reduce costs on statements and administration, and lower costs on engaging with customers across all touch points, among other benefits.
